USC quarterback Jayden Maiava will return for another season with the Trojans football team.
The move was announced Tuesday morning on USC’s official social media channels.
Maiava, who was eligible for the 2026 NFL Draft, was the eighth-ranked quarterback in the FBS at the end of the season in terms of passing yards with 3,431. He completed 247 of 373 passes for 23 touchdowns with eight interceptions.
A handful of other players have announced their intent to return to USC next season, including running back Waymond Jordan, placekicker Ryon Sayeri, center Kilian O’Connor and receiver Tanook Hines.
“In this day and age, it’s almost more like an NFL team,” head coach Lincoln Riley told reporters on Monday. “It’s an accomplishment to be welcomed back, and then on top of that, when you do have that option, it’s something that should be celebrated by a school or a program that somebody wants to continue what’s being built or what they’ve already started at that place.”
