SALT LAKE CITY — Lakers guard Gabe Vincent is expected to be sidelined for at least the next couple of games because of a back ailment.
The team announced Thursday morning, ahead of its road game against the Utah Jazz, that Vincent will be reevaluated in about one week after being diagnosed with lower back tightness.
Vincent entered Thursday listed as questionable on the team’s status report, with his injury designation at the time being low back soreness.
In addition to Vincent, the Lakers were also without starting guard Austin Reaves (left calf strain) and starting center Deandre Ayton (left elbow soreness) for Thursday against the Jazz.
Vincent has averaged 4.7 points (36.2% shooting on 3-pointers) in 14 games (21.5 minutes).
He was sidelined for three weeks earlier in the season because of a sprained left ankle.
