Timothée Chalamet Quashes Rumors with New EsDeeKid Feature

Timothée Chalamet appeared on a remix of rapper EsDeeKid’s “4 Raws,” ending rumors that the American actor and the British performer are the same person. The movie star hopped on the explosive trap-rap track with a fiery verse of his own, in which he shouts out “Marty Supreme,” Kylie Jenner and his “Dune” tenure.

EsDeeKid, who’s steadily emerged from of the underground hip-hop scene, obscures his appearance with face coverings, leaving only his eyes showing. Some believe that his eyes and nose bridge resemble Chalamet’s, leading netizens to start a rumor that the New Yorker started a side career posing as a Liverpool rapper. 

In an interview with Heart, Chalamet addressed the rumors with an ominous message, saying that he had no comment to offer on the subject. 

“All will be revealed in due time,” he concluded. 

Time certainly revealed all as EsDeeKid tapped Chalamet for a feature on his track, “4 Raws.” On December 19, Chalamet and EsDeeKid’s official Instagram accounts posted a music video snippet, complete with a feature from the “Beautiful Boy” star.

On “4 Raws,” Chalamet commends his girlfriend Kylie Jenner, rapping “It’s Timothée Chalamet chillin’, tryna stack a hundred million/Girl got a billion.” Jenner and Chalamet, who began dating in 2023, recently appeared in matching neon orange outfits for the Los Angeles premiere of “Marty Supreme.” 

“Since 2017, I’m livin’ the dream/I’m gettin’ the cream, I’m livin’ on theme,” continues Chalamet, highlighting his own career. The year 2017 marks the release of “Call Me By Your Name,” a film for which he received a nomination for Best Actor at the Academy Awards. Chalamet has since propelled himself to A-lister status, earning a second Best Actor nod for “A Complete Unknown.”

The ‘Marty Supreme’ Promotional Tour Continues 

Chalamet has been on an impressive run promoting “Marty Supreme.” The actor’s antics have included more than just interviews and Instagram posts. He staged a Zoom call, in which he offered increasingly absurd ideas for marketing the film. “Marty Supreme” blimps have been spotted across the country and Chalamet has been sporting bright orange—the official “Marty Supreme” color—outfits in press appearances and on red carpets. 

On this remix of “4 Raws,” too, Chalamet shouts out the Josh Safdie-directed film. 

“I’m doin’ my things, it’s Marty Supreme/It’s Marty Supreme, it’s Marty Su— uh,” he raps. The upcoming film stars Chalamet as the titular Marty, a ping-pong player in pursuit of greatness. 

Chalamet concludes his verse with more references to his career: “Live on Arrakis and Mordor/I look like the king with my sword drawn” before finishing out on a punctuated: “It’s that Marty Supreme in the four raws.” 

“Marty Supreme” arrives in theaters on December 25. A full version of EsDeeKid’s “4 Raws” remix with Chalamet is set to release soon.
