Patriots Henderson Downgraded To Out After Leaving SNF w/ Injury

The New England Patriots enjoyed near-perfect injury luck for the first half of the season. However, starting in late November, New England has been on the wrong end of a long string of loaded injury reports.

The Patriots entered “Sunday Night Football” against the Baltimore Ravens with several key starters out.

Now the Pats will be without offensive rookie of the year front-runner, TreVeyon Henderson, for the remainder of the game.

The running back took a hard fall in the second quarter of Sunday night’s contest, slamming his head off the turf with noticeable force.

Henderson stayed on the ground for a while before attempting to make his way to the sideline. While walking, his legs appeared to give out under him, and he went back down to the turf while trainers assessed his condition.

Evan Lazar, a Patriots reporter in Baltimore, confirmed that the rookie returned to the locker room with several minutes left to play in the second quarter.

TreVeyon Henderson Officially Downgraded To Out

After beating the rest of the team to the locker room in the second quarter, Henderson’s lengthy examination ultimately landed him out for the remainder of the game.

The designation is officially labeled as a head injury for the 37th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Concussions often keep the player for at least one more week after the game in which it was suffered.

This is troubling for New England as they continue their pursuit of the AFC’s first seed.

The good news is that the Patriots finish the season at the New York Jets on December 28th, and hosting the Miami Dolphins in January.
