“In the weeks before you left us, after months of telling me nearly every regret you’d ever carried, you burst into tears and said: ‘Babe, you know the most f**ked-up thing of all?’ ‘I actually love everyone.’”

In the days following Ransone’s death, McPhee shared a vulnerable message about continuing forward for the sake of their children, Jack, 6, and Violet, 4.

She described taking them to the Glendale Mall after a day at the park.

She reflected on how grief and everyday life now coexist.

“For the first time in my life, it was clear that people recognized me. I heard someone behind me in the food court say, ‘ask her’ But they didn’t. And thank you for not. I was with my kids.”
