By NFL quarterback standards, Pittsburgh Steelers signal-caller Aaron Rodgers has a modest salary this season. But that didn’t stop the 4-time MVP from going all-out for Christmas.
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s Brian Batko reported on social media Rodgers gave his offensive linemen Can-Am Maverick side by sides for Christmas this year.
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s Rob Joesbury wrote Friday that it appears Mosites Motorsports, which has two stores located in the same county as Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, sold Rodgers the vehicles. Mosites Motor Sports posted video of the vehicle at the team headquarters on the South Side.
“This Christmas, Aaron Rodgers gave his offensive line the gift of horsepower,” the company’s Instagram account read on Christmas Day. “Safe to say, it delivered.”
It’s not 100% clear what model Rodgers bought his offensive linemen. But Joesbury wrote a 2026 Maverick X3 starts at a retail price of $19,999.
The Steelers have eight offensive linemen on their current 53-man active roster. The team also has four linemen on their practice squad and two linemen on injured reserve.
QB Aaron Rodgers’ 1-Year Contract With Pittsburgh Steelers
While the veteran quarterback took his time signing with his next NFL team during last spring, Rodgers told The Pat McAfee Show that his 2025 contract didn’t matter to him. He proved that to be the case with the money he agreed to play for with the Steelers.
Rodgers signed for a 1-year, $13.65 million contract to come to Pittsburgh. According to Spotrac, Rodgers is ranked 22nd in average annual salary among all quarterbacks this season.
With his $13.65 million salary, Rodgers sits behind Geno Smith, Justin Fields and Daniel Jones on the average annual salary list.
However, Rodgers’ contract did contain up to another $5.85 million with incentives. One incentive was $1.5 million for winning league MVP. That’s not going to happen, but the veteran quarterback can begin earning playoff incentives with a Week 17 victory against the Cleveland Browns.
Clinching a postseason berth would yield Rodgers a $500,000 bonus. If in the playoffs, Rodgers would be eligible to earn $600,000 for a first-round playoff win, $750,000 for a divisional round victory, $1 million for a conference championship and $1.5 million for a Super Bowl title.
That would help pay for those offensive line Christmas gifts. Rodgers, though, likely didn’t have any issues dropping thousands on the fancy vehicles.
According to Spotrac, the 42-year-old quarterback has earned $394 million over his two-plus decades in the NFL.
Steelers Playoff Scenarios Entering Week 17
Pittsburgh’s path to the postseason is rather simple with two weekends remaining in the regular season.
Rodgers and the Steelers can clinch the AFC North with a victory against the Browns on Sunday. It’s also possible the division will be decided before kickoff.
If the Baltimore Ravens lose to the Green Bay Packers on Saturday, the Steelers will be AFC North champions.
Should the Steelers lose and Ravens win this weekend, the Steelers can still capture the division with a victory against Baltimore in Week 18.
Winning the AFC North would end a five-year division title drought for the Steelers. But most of the team’s fan base has its eyes set on the organization winning its first playoff game since January 2017.
Since then, the Steelers have lost six consecutive postseason contests. Two of those games have been at home, which is where the team would play in the first round of the playoffs this season with a division title.
