Hundreds of flights headed in and out of Denver International Airport on Sunday were delayed after a wave of early morning snow dusted the city.
As of 11:45 a.m., 327 flights had been delayed and five had been canceled, according to flight tracking software FlightAware. No ground stops or ground delays were in effect at that time, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
Roughly 2.2 inches of snow had accumulated at DIA by 11 a.m. Sunday, according to snowfall maps from the National Weather Service.
Other parts of the metro area reported between 1/2 inch and 3.5 inches of snow, the map showed.
Southwest delayed the most flights at DIA on Sunday at 122, followed by 79 United flights, 65 SkyWest flights, 24 Frontier flights and 14 American Airlines flights, according to FlightAware. Eight other airlines delayed between one and five flights.
Delta canceled three flights, and SkyWest and Frontier each canceled one, according to FlightAware.
