<p id=”par-2_76″>No matter where you looked this year, two names that garnered separate headlines almost daily were Taylor Swift and Donald Trump. Swifties made the former one of 2025’s most Googled people as she continued her <em>Eras Tour</em> in various countries. She also <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/taylor-swift-officially-owns-all-of-her-music-does-this-explain-her-public-absence.html/”>reclaimed ownership of the master recordings</a> in May. And, in October, the singer dropped her <em>The Life of a Showgirl</em> with lyrics that stirred up plenty of theories in fan forums and TikTok threads. </p>
<p id=”par-3_65″>The biggest Swift news of all came on Aug. 26, when she and <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/traviskelceinterview.html/?swcfpc=1″>Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce</a> nearly broke the internet announcing that they were engaged. Their joint post quickly racked up more than 35 million likes on Instagram. Search engines lit up with fans looking up as much as they can about their relationship and any leaks about their wedding plans. </p>

In back-to-back metrics released this year, the POTUS topped global search charts with more than a hundred million monthly hits at times.</p>
<p id=”par-5_77″>Another name that people couldn’t stop searching for this year is Sabrina Carpenter. Her album <em>Man’s Best Friend</em> broke records as the most-streamed album in a single day by a female artist, and brought her into global conversation as both <a href=”https://youtu.be/cF1Na4AIecM” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>a singer and a cultural figure</a>. She walked red carpets in stunning couture, and every outfit or interview became a top search term, especially among younger fans who couldn’t get enough of Carpenter’s style and voice. </p>
<p id=”par-6_30″>One other name that kicked the search engines into high gear in 2025 was Bianca Censori, thanks to her appearance with husband Kanye West at the Grammys in February. </p>
