Fans of Jenna Marbles received some devastating news when her husband, Julien Solomita, shared a sad social media announcement on December 19, 2025. Jenna dominated YouTube for a decade with her hilarious videos after getting her start as a blogger for Barstool Sports. The Rochester native, who formerly blogged under a now-defunct section of Barstool called Stool La La, gained overnight fame when her unforgettable video “How to Trick People Into Thinking You’re Good Looking” went viral.
GettyJenna continued posting videos as her audience grew to millions of subscribers, and her dog, a Chihuahua named Mr. Marbles, became a regular character. Soon after adopting Marbles, she added an Italian Greyhound named Kermit to her famous team of furry sidekicks.
Jenna effectively disappeared from the Internet after posting a final farewell video in June 2020, and is no longer active on any public social media accounts. But Solomita, whom she married in November 2022, still posts content and occasionally shares news and announcements with Marbles’ fans. On December 19, he announced the death of Jenna’s beloved first dog, writing, “Mr. Marbles, thank you for showing me what it truly means to ride or die. I love you almost as much as you loved Jenna. Thanks for all the years of love and protection. Rest easy, Chip.” Marbles was almost 17 years old when he died.
The post received almost a million likes, including one from “Pink Pony Club” singer Chappell Roan.

Solomita disabled the comments on the Instagram post where he announced the loss of Mr. Marbles, but that didn’t stop fans from showing an outpouring of love for the late Chihuahua. They flooded the comments of Solomita’s previous post with fond memories and tributes to the dog.
One fan wrote, “Sending Jenna so much love and strength. I canât imagine how hard the loss of Marbles is for her. That was her bestest bud. I’m so sorry. He will be remembered. My favorite YouTube dog.”
Another person wrote, “Thank you for all the years of laughter at some of my lowest points of my life. Your channel and Jennaâs with this sweet little dog lit up so many of our teenage lives. Sending all my love and prayers for comfort to you and Jenna.”
When Jenna and Solomita got married in 2022, the famous Chihuahua was seen tucked into a stroller for the photos.
Why Did Jenna Marbles Leave YouTube?
In a since-deleted video simply titled “A Message,” Jenna said she was leaving YouTube due to being called out by some fans who brought up some jokes and other content in several of her old videos that could be seen as insensitive or offensive. She said the viewers had asked her to address the topic, and told her audience, “I’m happy to do that. What I want want from the people that I support, and I like, is to have accountability. And to know that I’m supporting someone whose morals and values align with my own.”
Later in the video, she tearfully announced, “I think I’m just gonna move on from this channel for now. I don’t know if that’s forever. I don’t know how long that’s gonna be. I wanna make sure that the things I put into the world are not hurting anyone. And yeah, I’m just gonna stop for now.”
