Luke Littler’s mum responded to fans who booed her son at the World Darts Championship with an astonishing X-rated outburst on social media.
The Nuke is on course to defend his WDC title after beating Rob Cross 4-2 in a thrilling fourth-round match at Alexandra Palace on Monday night.
The Ally Pally crowd jeered Littler throughout the contest, hoping for an upset Cross win, and while he initially kept his composure, afterward the 18-year-old let his emotions out.
‘I’m not bothered. Really I’m not bothered. Really not bothered. HAHAHA!’ he said on Sky Sports, addressing the audience.
‘Can I just say one thing? You guys pay for tickets and you pay for my prize so thank you for my money. Thank you for booing me. Come on!
‘No-one wanted me to win but I proved them wrong yet again.’
Littler’s reply sparked discourse among darts fans and now, Lisa Littler has added fuel to the fire, taking to Twitter to reply to several of her son’s critics.
In the most notable exchange, one user posted: ‘So Littler’s allowed to financially ridicule a whole audience who’ve paid their hard earned money to go and watch him, but I’m not allowed to call him a little pudding because he’s 18? Do me a favour.’
Lisa fiercely hit back with: ‘So they buy tickets with [their] hard earned money to sit there like twats and boo.’
Another told Littler to ‘behave like the world No,1’, to which Lisa responded: ‘Behave like one (two laugh-crying emojis).
‘Best comment so far am sure Luke will carry on behaving like one as he as (sic) done crowds were vile let’s all boo the world number one idiots man.’
She also labelled one user ‘a silly sausage’ and claimed another led ‘a sad little life’.
Another posted: ‘The more I watch Luke Littler, the more I hate him,’ with Lisa duly replying: ‘Aww gutted for ya nottt.’

The Nuke has enjoyed a meteoric rise since reaching the World Darts Championship final two years ago aged just 16, which has dramatically increased darts’ popularity.
The teenager admits he was ‘surprised’ by the boos and did not think they were warranted, but suggested he understood why they were happening.
‘Obviously they want the underdog to win or they want the game to go on even longer than it should do,’ Littler said in his post-match press conference.
‘But it definitely fuelled me up and I’ve definitely played better then. We’ll just have to see what happens on New Year’s Day.
‘It is what it is. They want the underdog to win, They want the favourites to go out. I just had to get it out the way and get the job done.’
