<p id=”par-1_61″>Armando Christian Pérez, better known by his stage name Pitbull, burst onto the scene in the early 2000s with his reggaeton and Latin hip-hop sound that mixes rap and pop music. He released his debut album <em>M.I.A.M.I</em> , which was produced by Lil Jon in 2004. Then before we knew it, Pitbull was everywhere recording tracks with several big-name stars, including Jennifer Lopez, Christina Aguilera, and <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/what-shakiras-name-means-and-the-moment-she-knew-she-wanted-to-be-a-performer.html/”>Shakira</a>.</p>
<p id=”par-2_71″>Reflecting on his global approach to music, Pitbull credits his upbringing in Miami, telling <a href=”https://www.npr.org/2019/05/05/720115291/short-steps-long-vision-an-interview-with-pitbull” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>NPR</a>, “It’s a melting pot … I’ve grown up in good neighborhoods, bad neighborhoods, worse neighborhoods. But growing up around so many cultures, it’s always allowed me to think out the box and try new sounds and try new things. You learn something new from every culture — just like I learn something new from every record.”</p>

<p id=”par-4_14″>Rumors have circulated for years about the number of children Pitbull has fathered. </p>
<p id=”par-5_64″>In 2023, a wild story surfaced courtesy of comedian Pat Williams, who <a href=”https://www.tiktok.com/@patwilliamscomedy/video/7267260906613132549″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>claimed in a TikTok video</a> that the musician had 21 kids with 18 women in 13 countries. Williams called Pitbull a “Hawaiian island volcano,” saying, “He’s got 21 kids with 18 different women in 13 different countries. He sees them all twice a year, and he’s never missed a child support payment.”</p>
<p id=”par-6_18″>After the video went viral, Pitbull’s spokesperson told <a href=”https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/pitbull-kids-viral-claim-rapper-21-children-1234819186/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Rolling Stone</a>: “That is completely inaccurate and obviously comedic humor.”</p>
<p id=”par-7_27″>Pitbull has managed to keep his personal life private for the most part, while some reports say he has six children only two have been confirmed. </p>

<p id=”par-8_67″>Pitbull has a daughter, Destiny, who was born on Aug. 15, 2002. Mr. 305 also has a son, Bryce Pérez, who was born on May 3, 2003. Neither Destiny or Bryce makes appearances with their dad and have managed to stay out of the spotlight. Both children are with the ”Give Me Everything” hitmaker’s ex-Barbara Alba. They broke up in 2011 after dating for nearly a decade. </p>
<p id=”par-9_85″>The public first learned about Alba when a piece on Pitbull’s child support payments was published in the Miami Herald, noting, “In 2011, we heard for the first time about Barbara Alba, who was receiving about $3,000 a month to cover child support for their 9-year-old daughter Destiny Perez without any formal court order. But as his fame arose so did Alba’s demands, which is why she hired lawyer Jason Setchen to get a raise of that child support and get the matter in paper.”</p>
<p id=”par-10_24″>Things were resolved swiftly and the former pair maintain a good relationship with Alba’s lawyers saying, “Pitbull is a gentleman. This was resolved amicably.”</p>
