A 50-year-old man was hospitalized in grave condition on Friday, Jan. 2 after firefighters found him inside a burned residence in Van Nuys.
Firefighters located the man shortly after 4:40 p.m. in the 6900 block of North Burnet Avenue, according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart.
The man was discovered during a secondary search of the property and was transported to a hospital for treatment, Stewart said.
Arson investigators responded to the scene to determine the cause of the fire, which was under investigation.
