Denver fire crews responded to a three-alarm fire near the intersection of Leetsdale Drive and S. Forest on Thursday night, according to officials from the Denver Police and Fire Departments.
The fire was initially reported around 7 p.m., officials said, and involved a three-story apartment building under construction. The cause of the fire was unknown and remains under investigation. No injuries were reported as of Thursday night, according to the Denver Fire Department.
Videos on social media depicted large flames and a smoke plume visible from nearby Glendale. Residents in the area said they received evacuation orders via text message.
Leetsdale Drive is closed in both directions while authorities respond to the fire, according to a Denver Fire Department spokesperson.
