Siliberg is the founder of Hotline Films, with his biography also specifying that he is a producer there as well, according to his LinkedIn profile.
4. Alex Siliberg Produced “The Auschwitz Bagel’
In April 2024, Siliberg announced on Instagram that his latest project is titled, “The Auschwitz Bagel,” which he described as a “very personal story about family, LA Jews, and of course, trauma.”
“Itâs a story that Iâve been wanting to tell for a long time. We have an amazing team and Iâm excited to share updates with you all along the way,” he wrote.
The film also has its own website, with a full description of the short film. Specifically, it “follows Ezra and his two siblings, Daniel, and Lexi, as they return to their hometown of Los Angeles to attend a funeral of their distant great aunt.
“The siblings, along with their partners, are forced to confront their old family dynamics, while also grappling with horrible news that was sprung on them suddenly. Not the death of their poor Aunt Inga, but the coming out of their father, Mark, who took this impromptu visit as a time to relieve himself of a long kept secret,” the website continued. “With the whole family in attendance, including the kidsâ mom Lisa and Markâs new boyfriend Samuel, their personal differences begin to boil over in the midst of extended family and surprise guests. However, itâs not until the shiva where things come to a head and a new secret is revealed over bagels and lox.”
Romy stars in the film, portraying the character, Annie.
5. Alex Siliberg Has Been Staying In Malibu With Romy Reiner
Following her parents’ passing, Romy celebrated her birthday in a close gathering at the beach with her loved ones, including Siliberg. The two were photographed walking on that beach at one point.
