Gordon Ramsay has supported his new son-in-law, Adam Peaty, as fans claim they can spot a ‘subtle dig’ in Adam’s wedding speech to his new wife.
Adam, 30, married Holly Ramsay, 25 – the daughter of Gordon Ramsay – in a ceremony at Bath Abbey at the very end of 2025.
The couple’s special day was marred by drama, with Adam’s mother reportedly banned from attending the ceremony, while Holly’s childhood pal Brooklyn Beckham also gave it a swerve.
However, that didn’t stop the pair from having a lovely day, with Adam sharing a snippet from his speech to his new wife on the day.
In the new clip shared on Instagram, Adam said he would ‘always choose’ his wife as he delivered an emotional speech, and appeared visibly emotional at the altar, wiping away tears as Holly was given away by her father.
Gordon supported his speech in the video, commenting on the post: ‘Beautiful words @adamramsaypeaty @hollyramsaypeaty True Love ❤️ congratulations love you both so much Dad ❤️’
This wasn’t Gordon’s only message of support to the couple, ahead of the wedding he shared a post about the couple.
‘I’m truly so lucky being able to walk this beautiful bride down the aisle and gaining an incredible son in law Adam Peaty!’ he wrote in a message on Instagram alongside photos of him with his daughter.
‘I love you so much Holly Ramsay and couldn’t be a prouder Dad xxx,’ he added.
The Sun reported that Gordon also made a dig at Adam’s family on the day and said his wife, Tana, ‘will be a good mum to them both’.
The 59-year-old TV chef then added that Holly looked beautiful and Adam was a ‘lucky man’, referencing his wife again as he said: ‘Look at Tana and that’s what you have to look forward to.’
He then made another dig at Adam’s parents as he told Holly: ‘Shame you don’t have the same.’
But while the star may have support from Gordon, his comments raised eyebrows from fans who thought that his speech reminded them of recent comments from Brooklyn Beckham amid his family feud.
‘”I’ll always choose you” hmmmm, can’t help but wonder how Victoria felt hearing that sentence, especially since it’s the same one Brooklyn keeps using in his posts as a subtle jab at his family🙂,’ said one commenter under the video.
Brooklyn has frequently commented on social media that he will always ‘choose’ his wife Nicola Peltz, amid the ongoing feud with his parents, David and Victoria Beckham.
Sharing a video of himself riding a motorbike with his wife on the back, Brooklyn, who now lives in Los Angeles, wrote in the caption: ‘My whole world x I will love you forever x
‘I always choose you baby x you’re the most amazing person i know xx me and you forever baby.’
Victoria and David were both in attendance at the wedding, and featured in various snapshots of the day and in the moving video shared by Adam on social media.
It marks the couple’s first public outing since celebrating Christmas without their 26-year-old son, who recently blocked them on Instagram, as he shared his own festive celebrations with wife Nicola Peltz and her family.
The Ramsays and the Beckhams have been pals for a long time, stemming from a close-knit friendship between the respected footballer and the chef.
The Beckhams weren’t the only high-profile guests at Adam and Holly’s wedding, with stars like chef Marcus Wareing and businesswoman Sara Davies also in attendance.
