NFL Announces Big News on Bears vs. Rams Playoff Game

Ben Johnson and the Chicago Bears will take on the Los Angeles Rams in the NFL divisional round of the playoffs, and while we already had a date, with the game taking place on Sunday, January 18, in Chicago, now, we have the full details from the league.

The Bears, of course, snagged this spot in the NFL playoffs by beating the Green Bay Packers in the NFL’s wild-card game on Saturday, January 10, with a 31-27 win also at home. The Chicago Bears were down by 21-3 at halftime, but they fought back in a big way to win and move further in the playoff run.

“Once we lined up, I actually knew that we were about to hit it just off the demeanor of the guys on the other side of the ball,” Chicago Bears quarterback Williams said of the winning play in the game. “Just had a feeling that that was going to be the one. Guys did a great job.”

Williams added, “O-line did a great job blocking. Guys did a great job selling the fake, and then obviously DJ going up the sideline.”

Chicago Bears Head Coach Ben Johnson is Ready for the Los Angeles Rams

So, the Rams are favorites, but that doesn’t mean much to Johnson and the Bears.

“Look at this guy right here,” Williams said, pointing to his coach after the win over the Packers. “Everything he’s done for us as a coach, everything the other coaches have done for us, and it started with them bringing in everybody in.”

Williams added of Johnson and what he’s done for the team, “For me, personally, he’s been — don’t get emotional — he’s been monumental in my life so far. So, to his first playoff win as a Chicago Bears head coach!”

So, Johnson and the Bears thrive as the underdogs. They’ve often been the underdogs during the 2025-26 season. Watch out, Los Angeles.
