After multiple teams failed inspection twice, NASCAR issued penalties that immediately impacted preparation for the weekend.
Among those penalized were Brendan Queen, Justin Haley, Corey LaJoie, Clayton Green, Frankie Muniz, Timmy Hill, Layne Riggs, Kris Wright, Justin Carroll, Caleb Costner, Christian Eckes, Ben Rhodes and Tyler Ankrum.

The penalties carry real weight, especially at a track like Rockingham where track time is critical.
NASCAR docked affected teams 10 minutes of practice time — a significant loss during a limited session where drivers work to understand tire wear, balance and long-run performance.
At a surface like Rockingham, known for its abrasive characteristics and heavy tire falloff, every lap matters. Losing practice time can put teams behind before the race even begins.
There is some relief, however. All impacted teams were able to pass inspection on their third attempt, meaning no additional penalties will be assessed.

Rockingham Speedway continues to reestablish itself as one of the more compelling venues on the NASCAR schedule.
The 0.94-mile oval is hosting both the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and NASCAR Xfinity Series this weekend, marking another chapter in the track’s modern return.
