The Seattle Seahawks currently have just four selections in the 2026 NFL Draft. The organization will have to make every one of them count to fill their remaining needs this NFL offseason.
To do that, NFL.com’s Chad Reuter sees the Seahawks focusing on one particular trait — speed.
In his latest 2026 NFL mock draft, Reuter predicted Seattle to land San Diego State cornerback Chris Johnson at No. 32 overall to end the first round.
“Johnson’s speed (4.4-second 40-yard dash) and electric footwork make him a perfect fit to join Devon Witherspoon in the Seahawks’ starting lineup,” wrote Reuter.
As a senior, Johnson posted 49 combined tackles, including three for loss. He also had nine pass defenses and four interceptions, two of which he returned for touchdowns.
Behind those statistics, Johnson earned the Mountain West Conference Defensive Player of the Year award.
In the next two rounds of his NFL mock draft, Reuter slotted Notre Dame running back Jadarian Price and UConn receiver Skyler Bell to the Seahawks.
With the Huskies, Bell earned All-American honors thanks in large part to his quickness.
“Bell is an inside/outside target with adequate size and field-stretching speed,” wrote NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein. “He has the tools to beat press quickly and the acceleration/cut quickness to open clean windows.
“Bell’s speed and upside should make him a productive starter.”
Bell registered 101 receptions, 1,278 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns during 2025.
