Brayden Burries’ parents, Bobby Burries and Hannah Low-Burries, are both accomplished athletes who helped shape the Arizona star as he leads his team into the Final Four during March Madness. Here’s what you need to know.


1. Brayden Burries’ Parents Built His Athletic Foundation

Brayden’s parents, Bobby and Hannah, both competed at high levels and passed that experience down early.

Bobby played college basketball at San Bernardino Valley College and Cal State San Bernardino, while Hannah excelled in multiple sports, including basketball and softball. Their influence helped Burries develop discipline and consistency from a young age.

“He was raised by two great parents who guided him and let him know hard work will take you to the next level,” Brayden’s high school coach, Stephen Singleton, said to the Press Enterprise when he signed with Arizona.


2. Bobby Burries Had a Decorated College & Pro Career

Bobby built an impressive resume before becoming a mentor to his son.

He starred at Pacific High School before continuing his career at Cal State San Bernardino, where he earned All-American honors and led his program to multiple conference titles and NCAA tournament runs.

Bobby finished with 1,399 points and 350 rebounds and was inducted into the school’s Hall of Fame in 2011. He later played professionally overseas.

That’s helped me get to the point where I’m at today,Burries said of his father’s impact.


3. Brayden Burries’ Parents Both Excelled in Multiple Sports

Brayden’s parents brought versatility to their athletic careers, especially Hannah.

She competed in basketball and softball at Merced College, the University of Tennessee, and Cal State San Bernardino, earning All-State and MVP honors along the way. She was later inducted into the Merced Junior College Hall of Fame.

“While at Cal State, I met my husband, Bobby Burries, who also played for the Men’s basketball team. We just celebrated 21 years together and have 5 beautiful children: BJ, Brianna, Brayden, Brealani, and Brielle. They are very smart and talented, and we could not be prouder of all they have accomplished,Low-Burries wrote, via the Summerville Foundation.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts, along with a degree in Marketing and Business Administration.


4. Brayden Burries’ Brother BJ Burries Is a Record-Setting Scorer

Athletic success runs in the family beyond just his parents.

Brayden’s older brother, BJ Burries, set a state career scoring record with 3,387 points at Globe High School and now works as a graduate assistant at Arizona.

He also has three other siblings, Brianna, Brealani, and Brielle.


5. Brayden Burries’ Parents Helped Shape His Winning Mindset

Brayden’s parents emphasized hard work and adaptability, which helped guide his path from football to basketball.

I played football at first, then I took a break for one year and switched to basketball, and I stayed with it ever since,Burries said to Prospective Insight.

Now a freshman standout averaging 16.1 points per game, Burries is helping lead Arizona through March Madness and into the Final Four while building a growing NIL portfolio with major brands.

Burries and Arizona will take on Michigan on Saturday at 8:49 p.m. ET at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
