Warriors Release Official Injury Report for Sunday Amid Major Stephen Curry News

The Golden State Warriors are set for an inner-conference showdown with the Houston Rockets tomorrow night.

Golden State is riding a three-game losing streak after winning four of the previous seven tilts. Sunday’s home game is expected to have a postseason-type vibe even though the Warriors aren’t viewed as serious playoff threats.

Tomorrow night is the fifth-to-last regular season game. The Dubs are locked into the play-in tournament, so they seek to avoid injuries and assemble some sort of momentum entering the do-or-die qualifying game.

Sunday’s contest will have Stephen Curry’s name all over it.

The star point guard has missed 27 consecutive games due to a frustrating runner’s knee injury. The absence has put a deep dent in Curry’s 17th season.

Meanwhile, the Warriors are hoping to get healthy all around. They’ve dealt with major injuries this season, but we know who the major names are.

Right now, the team is hoping for some key auxiliary pieces to get back to 100% health so it can trot out its best lineup in the play-in game.

Golden State Warriors announce official injury report ahead of tomorrow’s game

The Warriors don’t have a ton to play for the rest of the regular season. They are going to be in the play-in tournament no matter what happens.

Although it’s still possible for them to move higher than the 10th seed between now and the end of season, it would take a prodigious effort to catch the Los Angeles Clippers, whom the Dubs trail by three games.

Still, tomorrow is a game Golden State will want. The team squared off against the Rockets last year in a chippy first round series. This time around, Houston has Kevin Durant, who won two championships with the Warriors.

Curry vs. Durant is always a headlining matchup, but will we get to see these two timeless stars go at it tomorrow?

Here is the Warriors’ official injury report for Sunday:

How likely is Stephen Curry to play?

All eyes have been dead-centered on Sunday the last several days.

Earlier in the week, it was announced Curry is targeting Sunday for his return from injury. The Warriors, however, have still not confirmed his status. We likely won’t know whether the two-time MVP will give it a go until closer to game time.

Curry, 38, started a lengthy shutdown back on Jan. 30 and subsequently battled numerous setbacks. The Warriors have kept it slow with the aging star, understanding the importance of Curry’s health in the grand scheme of things.

If Curry does play tomorrow’s nationally-televised game, expect Dubs fans to be the loudest they have all season. They have been desperately awaiting the return of their superstar.
