The King and Queen visited the 9/11 memorial in New York City, where they left a touching note remembering the victims of the terrorist attack.
The royals left Washington DC yesterday after spending two days with their host, Trump and the First Lady, Melania.
Charles and Camilla travelled New York, where they stopped at the memorial for the September 11 terrorist attacks at the World Trade Center site in Lower Manhattan.
Attached to a bouquet, the handwritten note paid tribute to everyone who lost their lives in the deadliest terror attack on US soil.

The note said: ‘We honour the memory of those who tragically lost their lives on 11th September 2001.
‘We stand in enduring solidarity with the American people in the face of profound loss.’
The note nodded at the ‘enduring solidarity’ between the US and US at a time when the relationship has become strained following Trump’s trade threats, his attacks on Iran and anti-Nato stance, and criticism of Sir Keir Starmer.

The royals were shown around the vast memorial by the former New York mayor, Michael Bloomberg.
Zohran Mamdani, the city’s current mayor, was also in attendance at the ceremony with other officials.
This was the first time a British monarch has visited the site since the memorial opened, according to the New York Times. The late Queen Elizabeth set down a wreath in 2010.

The King also visited Harlem Grown charity in Harlem, where he helped the children in the garden, while the Queen was at a literature event at the New York Public Library.
Today, the monarchs will return to Virginia to formally say goodbye to Trump before heading to the Bahamas.
From the King’s congressional speech hinting at the victims of Jeffrey Epstein to the formal dinner at the White House, all eyes have been on the high-stakes visit.

He said: ‘‘We are doing a little bit of Middle East work right now, you might know. And we are doing very well.
‘We have militarily defeated that particular opponent.
‘And we’re never going to let that opponent ever – Charles agrees with me, even more than I do – we’re never going to let that opponent have a nuclear weapon.’
The King paid homage to the ‘special relationship’ between the UK and US by gifting the president a bell from HMS Trump, a Second World War submarine, which survived the war in the Pacific.
