LA Phil unveils 2026 season at The Ford

The LA Phil has announced its 2026 season at The Ford, with performances slated to run through Oct. 31 at the historic outdoor amphitheater in the Hollywood Hills.

Now entering its seventh year under LA Phil management, The Ford’s upcoming lineup spans music, dance, film, theater, comedy, and spoken word performances, alongside returning programs including the family-friendly LA Soundscapes daytime series and FordLab, the venue’s artist incubator program supporting new work from local and regional creatives.

This year’s schedule includes comedian Aida Rodriguez bringing “The Remix” to The Ford on July 17, blending stand-up and music alongside Frankie Quiñones and DJ D-NICE. A tribute to Prince featuring Grammy-winning singer Bilal and DJ Rashida arrives Sept. 25, while “Mariachi Meets The Smiths” on Sept. 27 reimagines songs from the British rock band through mariachi arrangements.

Other programming includes Marc Bamuthi Joseph’s immersive multidisciplinary production “America(!)… The Beautiful(?)” on Oct. 3 and Filipino American emcee Bambu’s “Bass Building” on Oct. 10, a live hip-hop show through community organizing and conversation.

Music highlights this season include Matteo Bocelli on June 21, composer Joe Hisaishi’s Music Future series on July 25, Judy Collins and Bruce Cockburn on Aug. 7, Ani DiFranco and Valerie June on Aug. 12, Helado Negro on Aug. 13, Jacob Collier on Oct. 11-12, and Iron & Wine on Oct. 17-18.

Several performances spotlight Latin music and culture, including the 10th annual Boleros De Noche featuring Puerto Rican artist iLe on Aug. 1, ¡Viva La Tradición! celebrating women in mariachi music on Sept. 5 and Tercera Raíz on Aug. 21, a production exploring Afro-Mexican identity through dance, music, and storytelling.

Film offerings include a 45th anniversary screening of “Zoot Suit” on July 8, featuring director Luis Valdez and actor Edward James Olmos, filmmaker Ava DuVernay’s “Main Character Energy” on Oct. 29, and Halloween weekend screenings of “From Dusk Till Dawn” and “Rocky Horror Picture Show.”

Family programming returns through LA Soundscapes with Indigenous storytelling and dance, performances from Bob Baker Marionette Theater, Filipino American vocal group The Filharmonic, and interactive percussion company DrumatiX.
