A rare albino buffalo named Donald Trump, for his blonde hair, has been spared from sacrifice for Eid al-Adha in Bangladesh.

Donald the buffalo is a major celebrity in Narayanganj and even has identical hair to the US president.

Farm owner Ziauddin Mridha bought the buffalo from a cattle market about 10 months ago.

A second buffalo at the farm was named after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for a similar ‘resemblance’, with Mridha saying Benjamin was ‘naughty’.

After hundreds of tourists travelled to see the buffalo, the Bangladeshi Home Ministry stepped in to protect the rare animal.

Now, Donald will live at the national zoo in Dhaka, where he’s sure to have plenty of visitors.

Donald was being prepared for sacrifice during Eid al-Adha, but the rarity of the animal and his celebrity look-alike seem to have saved his life. The fate of Benjamin, however, is unknown.

Farmer Mridha said: ‘My younger brother jokingly named it Donald Trump after seeing the hair on its head. It is very calm in nature.’

One local told Prothom Alo newspaper: ‘He looks exactly like Donald Trump. His facial structure and hairstyle match.’

The US president has hundreds of impersonators around the world, but the albino buffalo might be the rarest of them all.

In China, impersonator Ryan Chen has been dubbed ‘Chinese Trump’ for his uncanny bit as the President.

The 42-year-old from southwest China does not engage in political satire but has amassed millions of followers across InstagramTikTok and Chinese platforms.

During his videos, Chen lightheartedly presents Chinese cuisine, customs, cultural differences, jokes with foreigners and dances to Village People’s YMCA, one of Trump’s trademark stage songs.

All of his videos are filled with Trump’s unmistakable mannerisms and buzzwords like ‘tremendous’ and ‘amazing.’

Chen, who learned English by watching his favourite American series, is also often recognised on the streets.

He said his secret is to sound like a ‘native speaker’ while also staying tuned to news on Trump, who is ‘a goldmine of funny material.’

He is now able to make a living from his work through promotion, events and corporate parties.
