A new fan theory has suggested that Susan Boyle’s new look could be teasing a secret Cornetto advert, hiding in plain sight.
The Britain’s Got Talent star made fans double-take this week as she returned to social media as a brand-new woman.
The voice of an angel, who rose to fame on the reality show in 2009, had previously wiped her Instagram account, naturally sparking rumours of a big music comeback.
In new photos, Susan, 65, wears a long brown fur coat with a trendy velour tracksuit underneath as she struts across a street. She added a touch of glamour with a large pair of sunglasses while shooting a fierce stare, and showing off her newly cropped blonde bob with a fringe.
Among the slew of new images posted is a snap of her from behind, showing off the title of her new song – Just One.

In addition to a legion of adoring Instagram comments, this has launched a surprising conspiracy theory linking Susan to the popular ice cream brand.
Writing on X, SuperTV24 wrote: I don’t want to disappoint the entire globe, but I think Susan Boyle is teasing a collab… with Cornetto.’
Laying out their case, they continued: ‘It’s 40 years since their OG iconic advert, it’s the font, the colours, the use of #ad on her posts… and what’s better than an ice cream when you’re Susan Boyling? 🍦’
Sure enough, the comments to her post on Instagram included one from Cornetto’s social media account – a pair of eyeball emojis.
‘Just one’ of course, also make up the lyrics to the iconic 1981 Cornetto advert, sang to the tune of the love song ‘O Sole Mio.
Furthering the theory, the font on the back of Susan’s hoodie also appears to match that of the Walls ice cream brand.
‘This is outstandingly British, and I’m here for it,’ commented Wrestle_G as social media viewers began to unpack the evidence.
Elsewhere, Putasinghonit described it as ‘another case cracked,’ while GeneaBailey described it as ‘the funniest and most disappointing outcome possible.’
Ice cream ad or no, this didn’t stop fans from thirsting over Su-Bo’s new look.
Her stylish makeover has drawn comparisons to the Mob Wives and even R&B star Mary J Blige, while popstar Katy Perry led the commentary, writing: ‘I dreamt this dream,’ in a nod to Susan’s iconic cover of I Dreamed a Dream from Les Misérables.
Susan’s Instagram followers couldn’t get enough, with Heather K McMahan reacting: ‘I’m sorry what??? We are SAT Susan!!!!!’
Tara.Truly joked: ‘I know a baddie when I see one,’ as Hannah I Lewis declared: ‘Mob wife? No. BOB WIFE? YASSS.’
In reference to Vogue editor Anna Wintour, Official Sister Sister renamed her ‘Susanna Wintour’, while erin_mcg_ wrote in similar fashion: ‘Cmon Susan J Blige yessss.’
‘Susan and her bobiana,’ Jesleywho quipped.

In the caption, Susan announced: ‘A new era starts tomorrow,’ while also adding ‘#ad’, leaving her followers in suspense over the big reveal.
An #ad for Cornetto, perhaps?
The Scottish singer has been teasing her comeback for some time after revealing last year that she had been back in the recording studio.
‘Today was wonderful, emotional, and everything in between,’ she told her social media followers as she celebrated her 65th birthday.
She continued: ‘I made my return to the recording studio for the first time in six years, something I was told I might never achieve again. But here we are, in my happy place!’
Susan became a global sensation after appearing on BGT in 2009, and warmed hearts with her powerful rendition of I Dreamed a Dream. She finished in second place after losing out on the winning title to Diversity.
Her career flourished after the ITV series, and Susan went on to release six studio albums. However, she has privately suffered health issues, including a stroke in 2022.
Speaking to STV the following year, Susan explained: ‘I had a major stroke, maybe three years ago. I had to fight my way back.
‘It’s been hard, I’m not going to pretend otherwise. But it’s given me a hunger to keep going.’
