The Apprentice winner and fan favourite Karishma Vijay has shared an emotional Instagram video about her body insecurities.

The 29-year-old, who won a £250,000 business investment from Lord Sugar earlier this year for her skincare brand Kishkin, admitted she’s been neglecting both her physical and mental health.

In the video Karishma begins by introducing herself and saying ‘in the last year my life has done a complete 180.’

She explains how in just 12 months she’s moved house, started a business, won The Apprentice, got engaged and is now planning a wedding while building her company.

‘My life flickers between filming content, packing boxes, planning marketing campaigns, doing podcasts, interviews and even winning awards,’ she continued.

‘Life may look great on social media but the God honest truth is that I’m not doing very well.’

At this moment the video appears to show a clip of Karishma crying while she explains she’s been working so hard she’s started to neglect herself.

‘Whilst my career may be on an upwards trajectory I’ve completely neglected me, my mental health and my physical health.

‘I’m the heaviest I’ve ever been. My body is my biggest insecurity but not because of my curves or because of the number on a scale. But because I’m in my 20s and I’m always exhausted,’ she said.

The business woman finished by saying she now plans on going back to the gym and giving fitness another shot.

Following the post Karishma was met with a wave of support from friends and fans.

‘I ordered a shipment using the money that came in from our first sales,’ she explained.

‘We were basically buying a bunch of oil, and we said, “Let’s put it on a ship and get it out here.” It will take maybe two or three months to get here by sea.

‘I found out that it hadn’t even left Hong Kong. There’d been a typhoon, and the ship had gone down, and my stock’s at the bottom of the ocean now. All my hard work is at the bottom of the sea.’

Following the accident Karishma signed up to The Apprentice in what she called her ‘last chance’ at launching a business.
