But a couple of people who were once quite close to Swift might not be present, according to <a href=”https://pagesix.com/2026/05/31/celebrity-news/taylor-swifts-ex-besties-who-arent-likely-to-get-invites-to-her-wedding/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Page Six</a>.</p>
<p id=”par-4_48″>“She wants to be surrounded by those who can genuinely share the love and meaning of the day, especially the people who have played important roles in her life for years,” a source told the publication. “Over time, some of her friendships have become strained for various reasons.”</p>
<p id=”par-5_54″>One of those fizzled friendships is with model Karlie Kloss. The pair were one-time besties but eventually drifted apart, allegedly due to Kloss’ professional relationship with Scooter Braun. Braun gained control of the master recordings for Swift’s first six albums when he bought her former record label, and Swift spoke out against that deal. </p>
<p id=”par-6_29″>Meanwhile, Swift didn’t attend Kloss’ 2018 wedding to Joshua Kushner. The singer feels “that the trust in the friendship” with Kloss has been “broken,” a source told Page Six. </p>
<p id=”par-7_33″>“She came to believe that Karlie’s intentions were not as genuine as she once thought, and that the friendship became more about proximity to Taylor’s fame than a real bond,” the insider alleged. </p>
<p id=”par-8_42″>“Taylor has always believed in giving people opportunities to show who they truly are,” the source said. “And in her eyes, Karlie’s actions over the past several years have only reinforced the decision to keep her distance rather than attempt to reconcile.”</p>
