A 14-year-old boy was shot and killed late Thursday in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood.
Officers responded to a call of a person shot around 11:30 p.m. in the 8000 block of South Carpenter Street and found the teenager suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, Chicago police said.
The boy was treated by paramedics on the scene and was then taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
No arrests have been announced in the attack.
