Arsenal could be set for a boost to their transfer coffers this summer thanks to a sell-on clause, with their former full-back Brooke Norton-Cuffy linked with a big move.

The 22-year-old joined the Gunners at 10 years old and came through their academy, but never made a senior appearance.

The right-back did rack up experience on a string of loan spells, playing for Lincoln City, Rotherham United, Coventry City and Millwall.

In 2024 Norton-Cuffy made a permanent move to Genoa and has been plying his trade in Serie A for the last two seasons, while also earning 14 caps for England Under-21s.

The Londoner has caught the eye, with interest from bigger Italian sides this summer.

TuttoMercatoWeb report that Napoli and Fiorentina are both keen on a move for the Englishman before the start of next season, with Napoli leading the race for his signature.

It is not the first time Norton-Cuffy has been linked with a move to an Italian giant, with Juventus touted as an interested party in January this year.

At the time, Tuttosport reported that Arsenal had a 20 per cent sell-on clause in his contract, which means the Gunners will be in for a handy windfall if he does move.

The TuttoMercatoWeb report states that Genoa would be looking for around €20 million (£17.34m), a substantial profit on the £1.7m they paid for him two years ago.

The windfall would not exactly change the dynamic of Arsenal’s summer transfer window, but it will be a welcome boost as they look to invest in the squad again.

The Gunners are unlikely to make a lot of signings, but are looking to make some big signings ahead of their bid to defend their Premier League title and go one step further in the Champions League, having lost to PSG on penalties last season.

Aston Villa and England star Morgan Rogers is one of the expensive possibilities they are looking at, as is PSG winger Bradley Barcola.

Newcastle midfielder Sandro Tonali is on the radar at the Emirates, while Morocco teenager Ayyoub Bouaddi, who plays for Lille and is starring for his country at the World Cup, is also of interest.

West Ham and Netherlands winger Crysencio Summerville has also been named as a target and Leicester youngster Jeremy Monga looks a likely addition.
