Football fans up and down the country stayed up until the early hours to catch that all-important England game, and celebrities are no different.

Ross Kemp was one of the masses who watched on as Jude Bellingham scored, literally drooling over the midfielder.

‘Come on England! Come on England!’ he said in a video on Instagram, before telling the team to ‘keep it calm’ for the Men’s World Cup.

He was promptly cut off by Jude’s goal, not following his own advice as he lost his mind screaming in celebration.

As he shouted ‘Jude’, a giant pool of spit bubbled up, and the EastEnders icon, 61, dribbled down his shirt while he declared ‘I love you’.

While his might have been the most explosive reaction, he wasn’t alone in cheering on the England players as Sir David Beckham also tuned in.

‘Now that’s a performance,’ he wrote on Instagram, posting a picture of the game on TV. ‘Absolutely brilliant’.

In another post, the former England captain wrote: ‘Huge team performance. A night to be proud of each and every one of the squad’

He branded Jordan Pickford’s performance ‘perfection’, while joking ‘what altitude’ as he posted a snap of Jude with his arms in the air.

The Rooneys also tuned in, minus Wayne, who is out in the USA covering the games.

Coleen posted pictures with her exhausted but ‘happy’ sons, writing that their ‘tired eyes’ were well ‘worth it’.

Elsewhere, Susanna Reid revealed she’d been up ‘biting her nails’ all night, yet somehow still managed to look fresh for Good Morning Britain.

Posting a selfie, she wrote: ‘RESULT! Are you going in or bunking off?! Great to be back in the studio after biting my nails through that last 15 minutes, with @seanfletchertv and @edballs.’

She wasn’t the only presenter watching as Piers Morgan also posted on Instagram: ‘Greatest England performance I have ever seen. Absolute heroes, every one of them.

‘And to all those who went to bed… in the words of Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman: Big mistake.. HUGE!’

Dan Walker confessed he’d only had an hour’s sleep after staying up late, but still managed to make it to the Classic FM studio for his ‘early start’.

The former Football Focus host was in sunglasses and a football top as he shared: ‘Anyone else on an early start? The music on @classicfm is guiding me through. What a night!!! No shouting please.’

While performing in North Carolina, Louis Tomlinson posted a snap of himself cheering on stage, wearing a football shirt.

His show comes after former bandmate Harry Styles, who celebrated last week’s win with fans at Wembley, thanked him and the rest of One Direction for helping him achieve his dreams.

The As It Was singer wrapped up his Together Together UK tour run on Saturday night, earning a Guinness World Record for the longest residency by a musician at Wembley Stadium during a single run.

After the historic run, we imagine Harry was probably getting an early night on Sunday … or more likely up until the early hours with the rest of us.

McFly’s Danny Jones seemed to have the best approach as he cheered on the game from home, also telling Jude ‘I love you’.

He filmed the penalties, branding the players ‘heroes’ and adding he had ‘never had sweaty palms like it’.

England are next set to play on Saturday, facing off against Norway in the quarter finals, with kick-off set for 10pm.
