Tributes have poured in for a celebrity bodyguard who has died after a motorcycle crash.

Mason Haynes, best-known for working with the Kardashians, F1 star Lewis Hamilton and Kanye West, died at the age of 52 following the collision in Hampshire.

The fatal crash involved two Harley Davidson motorcycles, a BMW X3 and a motorhome on Farnham Road near Crondall on July 4.

Haynes was a trusted protector for many A-listers, most notably Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner.

He is understood to have been on their security team when Kim K was robbed at gunpoint in Paris in 2016.

The dad-of-two was killed two days before his 53rd birthday, a GoFundMe set up by a family friend to support his wife says.

Friend Annabel Bass described Haynes as a ‘giant’ man ‘with even bigger heart.’

She wrote: ‘Whether you knew him for thirty years or thirty minutes, Mason had a remarkable ability to make you feel like family.

‘If you knew Mason, you’ll know he never measured people by what they had. He measured them by how they showed up.’

Another friend said: ‘The world has been robbed of that rare thing, a genuinely good man.’

Pretty Reckless singer and Gossip Girl actress Taylor Momsen said Haynes was her ‘confidant and one of my closest friends.’

She wrote in a social media post: ‘When someone knows every dark secret about you and never judges, spends 24 hours a day with you seven days a week, you form a bond that is hard to explain.’

Haynes, a custom motorbike enthusiast, earned respect in the industry for his professionalism and calm presence.

He said in an interview with Silver Swan Recruitment’s Philippa Swan: ‘Many bodyguards make the mistake of thinking that they’re friends with their clients.

‘And as soon as you blur the line between professionalism and friendship, I think you’re in serious trouble.’

Haynes kicked off his career in the industry in his twenties while he was a student. During that time, he branched into private security at London’s luxury venues.

He went on to start his own business, which took him around the world working for celebrities and sports stars. He also established a campaign group called Bodyguards Against Bullying.

Mason is survived by his wife, a daughter and son.
