Re “Trump intensifies election claims” July 17:
Donald Trump’s “big reveal” speech Thursday night landed with a thud. What he conspicuously left out was that members of his own administration publicly acknowledged they found no evidence of widespread voter fraud that could have changed the outcome of the 2020 election. Moreover, sixty lawsuits challenging the election results were dismissed or rejected by state and federal courts.
I doubt this will be the last time the president claims the 2020 election was rigged before November’s midterm elections. My hope is that each time the president talks about the issue, fewer and fewer Americans will believe him.
