Tommy Fury has revealed he sampled some of Molly-Mae Hague’s breastmilk following the birth of their first child – and claimed it had surprising results on his physique.

Tommy, 27, and Molly-Mae, also 27, first met in 2019 when they both took part in Love Island and finished in second place together.

The famous couple now share two children: daughter Bambi, born in January 2023, and son Midas, born in June 2025 shortly after they revealed that they’d rekindled their romance after a brief split.

Boxer Tommy recently launched a new podcast with his dad, John Fury, aptly called What the Fury?!, and in one of their latest episodes, the subject of breast milk came up.

‘I’ve drank breast milk,’ Tommy shared, to which his dad replied incredulously: ‘Are you kidding me?’

‘Yep. So, remember when Molly was…’ Tommy began, as John, who’s also the father of Tyson Fury, responded: ‘Ughhh. Oh dear me.’

Can adults drink breast milk?

The World Health Organisation states that ‘infants should be breastfed exclusively during the first six months of life’.

It’s then advised that babies are breastfed continuously ‘until two years of age and beyond’, and from six months, they should be fed ‘nutrient-dense foods’.

The organisation doesn’t give any guidance about adults drinking breastmilk, but one scientific study published in the Journal of the Royal Society of Medicine warned against adults purchasing breastmilk online, saying that to do so would be ‘ill-advised’.

‘Health professionals and regulators both must be aware of this growing trend and issue public guidance against the purchasing of human milk from Internet sources for adult as well as infant feeding,’ the study read.

It also stated: ‘As adult consumers are generally ineligible for milk banks, unless milk is coming from a known source – a lactating partner, for instance – it comes from an online source and therefore poses many unknown potentials for communicable disease.’

Obstetrician-gynaecologist Dr Mary Rani Cadiz told Hello Doctor, a health media platform in the Philippines, that it should be safe for someone to drink their partner’s breastmilk if the person breastfeeding has been ‘cleared of any blood-borne infections such as hepatitis B and HIV’.

‘The usual precaution for body fluids follows when it comes to when a grown man drinks breast milk. Chemicals from cigarette smoke, metabolites from medicines, and food you have eaten may affect the quality of your breastmilk,’ Dr Mary said.

Tommy explained that he ‘had a little taste’ of the breast milk shortly after Bambi was born, emphasising to his disbelieving co-host that it contains a ‘real growth hormone’.

‘You know how much goodness is in that breast milk,’ he stated, as John quipped: ‘I’d rather eat six tarantulas.’

To address Tommy’s claim about breast milk impacting muscle growth, sports dietitian Brian St Pierre told Men’s Health: ‘Breast milk is designed to rapidly grow a human baby, so maybe people think a similar effect will happen to fully grown humans?’

He continued: ‘Interestingly, there are also several growth hormones in breast milk. Although I’m not sure that they actually benefit a human adult in any way.’

Regardless, Tommy was convinced that consuming the breast milk had resulted in his arms getting bigger.

‘My arms doubled in size,’ he claimed, explaining that he tried it from a bottle that had been in the fridge.

‘Listen, power went through the roof, added another inch on my arms. It was fantastic.’

Despite Tommy insisting that it tasted similar to almond or soy milk, his dad wasn’t having any of it, stopping the conversation in its tracks.

In June this year, the boxer revealed the name of his son on his boxing shorts when he faced Eddie Hall in the ring, a match that he won.

While fans initially thought that the name came from King Midas in Greek mythology, Molly-Mae later revealed that she found the name after watching the film Real Steel – although the robot named Midas did take inspiration from the mythological figure.
