A man was fatally shot Monday evening on the Lower West Side, police said.
The man, 35, was sitting on the front porch of a residence in the 2300 block of West 18th Place just before 7 p.m. when a car approached and someone got out and fired shots, according to Chicago police.
The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital with gunshot wounds to the chest. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
No one is in custody and detectives are investigating.
