Kelly Osbourne has reflected on the ‘hardest year’ of her life following the death of her father, Ozzy Osbourne, in July 2025.

The singer, 41, said she was ‘so sick’ while grieving the late Black Sabbath star, who died from a heart attack at the age of 76.

Kelly, who recently split from Slipknot’s Sid Wilson, faced cruel body shaming comments during the height of her grief after Ozzy’s death, but is now receiving help and support.

Speaking to HELLO! Kelly said of her father: ‘I didn’t navigate it – I wasn’t well…

‘’How can you navigate something so cruel when you’re so sick? I’m getting a lot better. I’ve got all the help I need and I’m grateful for the support I have in my life.

‘[I have] this incredible team of people I’ve built around me who are not just my friends, because what you’ll find when you’re grieving is that people don’t know how to handle it, and you do lose a lot of friends…

‘But the ones who stick around are the real ones.’

Kelly heartbreakingly added that a ‘part of her died’ when Ozzy died, saying she’ll never be the same again.

She said: ‘It’s been the hardest year of my life. I’ll never be the person I was before my father died… a part of me died, too.

‘Everything is different. I’m different. Everything has changed, but it’s just taking it one day at a time and putting the pieces back together in a way that you think will work.’

Kelly, who has three-year-old- son Sidney with her ex, added: ‘It’s one foot in front of the other.

‘You’ve got to fix the head before you can fix the body. It’s a slow process. It’s going to take me a minute. I’m not going to be fixed in a day…

‘I’m not going to be fixed on one therapy session. This is a lifetime of work I’ve got to do and continue to do for the rest of my life.

‘It’s great discovering things about yourself [in therapy], and the reasons why I do certain things that stem from my childhood…

‘You go all the way back and you’re like: “Oh my god, that’s why I do that…”

‘I’m getting to know myself in a whole new way, but it’s a lot more healthy, I can tell you that.’

Earlier this year Kelly said she felt ‘dehumanised’ after her appearance at the 2026 Brit Awards where she honoured her father alongside mother Sharon Osbourne.

‘There is a special kind of cruelty in harming someone who is clearly going through something,’ she wrote on Instagram.

‘Kicking me while I’m down, doubting my pain, spreading my struggles as gossip, and turning your back when I need support and love most.’

Kelly continued: ‘None of it proves strength; it only reveals a profound absense of compassion and character. I’m currently going through the hardest time in my life.

‘I should not even have to defend myself. But I won’t sit here and allow myself to be dehumanised in such a way!’

It’s not the first time Kelly has had to address cruel body-shaming remarks.

‘Literally can’t believe how disgusting some human beings truly are!’ she wrote on Instagram earlier this year with a screenshot of her comments section.

‘No one deserves this sort of abuse.’
