A suspected drunk driver was arrested after she allegedly struck and killed a man crossing a street in Hollywood on Sunday night, Oct. 4, Los Angeles police said.
The driver was heading west on Hollywood Boulevard when she hit the pedestrian at Cherokee Avenue just before 11 p.m. in a marked crosswalk, said Officer Norma Eisenman, a spokesperson for the LAPD.
The pedestrian, a 32-year-old man, died at the scene. The medical examiner’s office had not yet publicly identified him.
Police arrested a 32-year-old woman on suspicion of driving under the influence, Eisenman said.
