The silk chiffon number is from the Italian fashion house’s Spring 2003 collection. </p>
<p id=”par-2_63″>It featured an intricate pheasant-and-floral print in shades of blue, pink, and red. Its top incorporated a structured, corset-style waist, a stand collar, and a plunging keyhole cutout that added a daring element to the vintage design. A matching floor-length maxi skirt completed the coordinated set, creating a long, fitted silhouette. Kardashian finished the look with strappy white heels and rosy makeup. </p>
<p id=”par-3_53″>But her hairstyle was the key element of her look. The SKIMS founder wore her locks in a romantic half-up, half-down soft bouffant. With height at the crown, swept-back sides and long face-framing pieces, the look offered a softer take on the classic bouffant. And sent Google searches for the hairdo soaring. </p>

<p id=”par-4_35″>Search analysis by <a href=”https://www.fresha.com/lp/en/bt/hair-salons” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Fresha</a>, using Google Trends data via Glimpse, shows searches for “bouffant hair” have risen 51% reaching approximately 6,000 in the past month. Searches for “half up hairstyle” increased 18%, reaching approximately 38,000.</p>
<p id=”par-5_33″>Danielle Louise, beautician and hairstylist on the Fresha app, describes Kardashian’s hairstyle as a ’60s-inspired soft bouffant, with the height and loose front sections giving a familiar half-up style a more glamorous finish.</p>
<p id=”par-6_80″>“The lift at the crown is what makes this look. The hair has a rounded shape through the top, while the sides are swept back and the lengths stay loose,” Louise explained. “It gives you volume without having to wear a full updo. There is a Bardot influence in the shape, but Kim’s version is smoother and more controlled. The pieces around her face stop it from looking too formal, which is a useful detail to copy for party hair.”</p>
<p id=”par-7_37″>For anyone who wants to recreate this style at home, Louise recommends “building lift through the crown while keeping the surface smooth. Start with a little volumising mousse or root-lift product and blow-dry the crown upwards. </p>

<p id=”par-10_84″>And if you prefer to have a professional style it for you instead, Louise says, “Show your stylist how much height you like and where you want the front sections to fall. ‘Bouffant’ can mean something quite dramatic, so the photograph helps explain the softer finish you are after. For a party or wedding, bring a picture of your outfit too. Your neckline and earrings can help you decide whether to wear the loose lengths over one shoulder or let them fall behind you.”</p>
