Bears predictions: Week 6 at Falcons

The Sun-Times’ experts make their picks for Sunday’s game in Atlanta:

Patrick Finley

Falcons, 24-21: Are the Falcons good? Does it matter? If the Bears play the way they did at Lambeau Field, the answer is no. Season: 2-3.

Jason Lieser

Bears, 30-26: This is a tough game against an ascending Falcons team, but the Bears need it badly as the two participants from last season’s Super Bowl await them next. Season: 2-3.

Scoop Jackson

Falcons, 35-30: They always say don’t do anything when you are emotional. Because you lose rationality and you’ll regret what you did later. Whatever. Tried to no longer be mad about the Bears. It’s not working. Season: 2-3.

Steve Greenberg

Bears, 24-23: The Bears have responded to the three worst games they’ve played under Ben Johnson — last year against Detroit and Baltimore, and this season against Minnesota — with wins. They’re also 12-2 outside the division since the start of last season. Somehow, some way, they get that “W.” Season: 3-2.

Jeff Agrest

Bears, 41-38: With Caleb Williams and Michael Penix seemingly healthy — and no defense to speak of on either side — whoever has the ball last wins. I’m picking that team to be the Bears, who’ll win on a late, long field goal by Cairo Santos in Atlanta’s comfy indoor environs. Season: 1-4.
