Liz Hurley flashes engagement ring as she gets engaged to Billy Ray Cyrus

Elizabeth Hurley and Billy Ray Cyrus have gotten engaged after a year of dating, it has been reported.

The former model and Austin Powers star, 61, met Achy Breaky Heart singer Billy Ray, 65, on the set of their 2022 film Christmas in Paradise.

After reconnecting in February 2025, the pair went public with their relationship on Easter Sunday that year.

It’s now being reported that the pair are engaged, with Elizbeth sparking rumours after posting an Instagram selfie last week in which a sparkly bit of bling was very visible on her ring finger.

Billy Ray went on to pour further fuel onto the fire after posting a ring emoji to his Instagram earlier this week.

Sources have now revealed that Billy Ray and Elizabeth are indeed engaged.

Of Elizabeth’s ring selfie, a source told Page Six: ‘She’s filming ‘The ‘Burbs’; I hardly think this ring is a prop.’

Elizabeth will join Peacocks the Burbs for its second series, where she’ll play Beverly Fisher… screen mother to Jack Whitehall’s character.

Another source confirmed that it was Billy Ray who popped the question to Elizabeth.

Earlier this week, he posted to Instagram: ‘This is the most fertile solid ground I have stood on in a long time.’

After reflecting on the success of his hit collaboration with DELTONA, titled Party’s in the Back, the Hannah Montana dropped a huge hint as to his future with Liz.

‘Kinda has a ring 💍 to it,’ he signed off.

In the comments below Billy Ray’s post, Elizabeth’s son, 24-year-old model Damian Hurley posted a celebration emoji.

Other followers were quick to pick up on the clues Billy Ray was laying down, with concert_going_idiot asking if the ring emoji was a ‘hint as to what you’re going to be doing.’

‘WHAT,’ exclaimed nancylynn_69. ‘You better put a 💍 on it!!’

‘Hint hint of something,’ agreed robinhforman, while bookgirl70 added: ‘congratulations on the engagement!’

Meanwhile, a stunned shepherd_i_am managed only: ‘RING?!?!?’

While neither Billy Ray nor Elizabeth have confirmed the news, he hasn’t corrected anyone over the assumptions either.

This would make the fourth marriage for Billy Ray, who was previously married to Cindy Smith from 1986 to 1991.

He went on to marry mother of Miley Cyrus, Tish, from 1993 to 2023. That same year, he married Australian singer Firerose, with their union lasting only a year.

Billy Ray has six children from his previous marriages – Brandi, Trace, Christopher Cody, Miley, Braison Chance and Noah Lindsey.

As for Elizabeth, she’s been married only once – to businessman Arun Nayar, to whom she was married from 2007 to 2010.

She has one child, Damian, from a past relationship with late film producer Steve Bing.

Elizabeth also enjoyed a high-profile romance with Hugh Grant, who she dated for 13 years before an amicable breakup.

In the wake of going public with their relationship, it wasn’t long before people started asking whether she’d met Miley yet.

Quizzed during an appearance on SiriusXM’s Radio Andy with Andy Cohen, Elizabeth responded: ‘I have. I have met Miley. She’s adorable.’

She went on to share that son Damian was, in fact, a big fan of Miley’s work as Hannah Montana.

‘So he loved Father Montana and you know, he loved Miley too, so I always knew who she was and when he was a young teen, he used to love all her music,’ Elizabeth continued.
