<p id=”par-1_50″>Prince Harry and <a href=”https://cheatsheet.com/tag/meghan-markle”>Meghan Markle</a> have had a difficult relationship with the royal family over the last few years. Tensions remained high after Harry and Meghan left the family back in 2020, and they have been <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/meghan-markle-revealed-prince-harry-fell-love-montecito-mansion-seeing-inside-we-want-this-house.html/”>living in California</a> with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, ever since.</p>
<p id=”par-2_42″>Harry and Meghan have had a strained relationship with most royal family members, though there have been a few who have remained on their side. And one royal just showed support for Meghan Markle in a huge — but subtle — way.</p>

<p id=”par-3_43″>Princess Eugenie, who is Harry’s cousin, has remained close with the Sussexes since their departure from the royal family four years ago. She and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, even visited Harry and Meghan in California about two years after they moved out there.</p>
<p id=”par-4_103″>Eugenie was recently in the news for <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/prince-william-newest-pr-move-explains-why-spending-time-princess-eugenie.html/”>supporting Harry’s brother, Prince William</a>, at the Buckingham Palace Garden Party, and some saw it as Eugenie’s way of saying she had cut ties with Harry and Meghan. However, the princess just attended Hugh Grosvenor’s wedding to Olivia Henson, and she seemingly paid subtle homage to Meghan by wearing the exact same shoes Meghan wore during her engagement photoshoot with Harry back in 2017. Eagle-eyed fans quickly spotted the shoes, and some see it as Eugenie’s way of clarifying that while she supports her cousin William, she is still a big fan of Harry and Meghan.</p>
<p id=”par-5_55″>Harry and Meghan were supposed to attend the wedding but opted out at the last minute due to the storm of press attention it might have caused. Eugenie has not seen Meghan in quite some time, and it’s unclear how often the two ladies talk, but from the looks of it, they’re still pretty close.</p>

<p id=”par-6_84″>If Eugenie and Meghan do want to get together, it’s likely on Harry’s cousin to <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/princess-eugenie-likely-trying-smooth-things-over-prince-harry-royal-family-california-visit-author.html/”>travel out to California</a>. Meghan has not returned to the UK since Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral in 2022, and for security reasons, she will likely only return if she and Harry can get the protection they so desire while over there. Harry recently lost a lawsuit filed against the UK’s Home Office regarding security, and unless the appeal works in his favor, Harry and Meghan might not ever return.</p>
<p id=”par-7_47″>Eugenie did make it to California once, so there is nothing to say she won’t pay them a visit again. And while Eugenie’s shoes aren’t necessarily a connection to Meghan, many people see it as an interesting coincidence considering Eugenie just made headlines for supporting Prince William.</p>
