The worlds of pop and punk collided in a perfect storm this weekend as B*Witched performed a special rendition of their biggest hit.
The iconic 90s girlband stormed the charts with C’est La Vie in 1998, and on Sunday night singers Lindsay Armaou and Edele Lynch joined Punk Rock Factory during their gig in Manchester.
The Welsh band have built an impressive following over the past few years with their pop punk covers of everything from Disney songs to classic TV themes, and in February the’re dropping an album of 90s bangers.
C’est La Vie was the first single earlier this year, and they were getting ready to play the track a few songs into their gig at Academy 1.
Frontman Peej Edwards joked about B*Witched joining them on stage, but the crowd’s laughter quickly turned to screams as Lindsay and Edele stepped out.
They joined the band in a blistering, fast and energetic punk rock version of their first chart stopping hit as the whole audience went ballistic, screaming back every word.

‘Going somewhere special,’ the girls had teased earlier in the day as they posted on Instagram before their appearance on the Stick To The Covers tour.
‘Great fun,’ they later added alongside their own clip from the surprise performance, which comes a few months after they released new single Ripped Jeans.
Kicking things off with How Far I’ll Go from Moana and Friend Like Me from Aladdin, PRF soon treated fans of all ages to the likes of Mamma Mia, Under The Sea and more.

After C’est La Vie, they took on themes from the likes of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Arthur, Phineas and Ferb and SpongeBob SquarePants.
The group also played their new single, Take That’s Back For Good – but despite similar jokes, Gary Barlow didn’t make a surprise appearance.
After more bangers, the main set came to an end with We Don’t Talk About Bruno, before a show-closing rendition of Let It Go.
With the new album dropping in early 2025, the band even revealed that they’re pushing for a potential number one record.
They joked that the main reason for the goal is to see how annoyed Ed Sheeran will get if they beat him to the top of the charts, and admitted they decided against the ‘pressure’ of a Christmas number one bid.
All Hands On Deck will be packed with throwback hits, from Bring It All Back (S Club 7) and Bye Bye Bye (N*Sync) to Gangsta’s Paradise (Coolio) and Will Smith’s Boom! Shake The Room.
