Earlier this summer, Oscar-winner Brad Pitt revealed that he had put his 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom Los Feliz estate back on the market just two years after purchasing the property for $5.5 million. The move came after the Los Angeles home was broken into and ransacked by a band of local burglars while the star was out of town filming his recent blockbuster âF1â in Japan.
Now, TMZ has revealed that Pitt has found a buyer for the historic 1960s abode formerly owned by oil heiress Aileen Getty and, before that, Maroon 5âs lead guitarist, James Valentine. But which A-lister will be the newest owner of the mid-century paradise?
âElvisâ Star Austin Butler Becomes the New âSteel Houseâ Owner
According to TMZ, Pitt officially handed over the deed to the estate, known as âThe Steel House,â to Oscar-nominated actor Austin Butler, known for his roles in projects like âElvis,â âOnce Upon A Time in Hollywoodâ and âDune: Part Two,â for an impressive $5.2 million earlier this week.

The price of the home reflects a hefty portion of Bulterâs net worth, estimated at approximately $14 million thanks to his various screen appearances and modeling contracts.
Butlerâs successful bid to buy the property comes after the actor’s Anaheim home was subject to the same string of celebrity burglaries that targeted properties owned by stars like Pitt, Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban and Lionel Richie throughout the Los Angeles area this summer.
However, with the burglars who targeted The Steel House safely in police custody, Bulter can safely enjoy stunning panoramic views of the city offered by the luxury property.
Brad Pitt Buys $12M Mansion After Selling Los Feliz Residence
After selling his previous residence to Butler to the tune of $5.2 million â a small loss from the $5.5 million he paid for it himself â Pitt has reportedly acquired a new abode in the Hollywood Hills.

According to The Wall Street Journal, Pitt closed the deal on the six-bedroom, eight-bathroom Spanish-style abode earlier this month, purchasing the 8,385-square-foot property from The Killersâ guitarist, Dave Keuning to the tune of $12 million.Â
Keuning originally listed the property, which similarly boasts a pool, fire pit, home theater and a vegetable garden, for $14 million, a significant increase from the $9.6 million the guitarist paid for it when he purchased the property from Grindr founder Joel Simkhai in 2021.
Originally erected in 1989, Pittâs new residence is nestled in the prestigious Outpost Estates enclave of the Hollywood Hills neighborhood, home to A-list stars like Orlando Bloom, Ben Affleck and Winona Ryder among others.
