Shannen Doherty’s Malibu home is up for sale. It’s been a year since the late actress lost her battle with cancer, and now the house she lived in for two decades is available to purchase for just under $10 million.

Shannen Doherty’s Luxurious Malibu Home Listed for $9.45 Million

In 2004, Doherty bought her Malibu home for $2.56 million, three years after her time on “Charmed” came to an end. The three-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bath home is listed for $9.45 million, with Chris Cortazzo of Compass listed as the real estate agent. He is also the executor of her estate. A friend of Doherty’s, Cortazzo has fond memories of hanging out with the “Beverly Hills 90210” actress in her stunning abode.

“When you’re a notable figure, your home becomes your sanctuary,” he told the Wall Street Journal about Doherty’s love for the home’s privacy. She often entertained close friends there, and Cortazzo fondly recalled that “We had Italian night every week at her house, and dancing night.”

Doherty had no children, so the profits from the home’s sale will go to her mother, Rosa. The 5,400 square foot house has a mixture of modern and rustic charm, such as reclaimed, sliding barn doors that separate the dining room from the den, and wooden-beamed ceilings. Doherty also loved to collect unique items when she traveled, which are featured throughout the home.

The property also has a lap pool, an outdoor dining area, an edible garden, and many fruit trees. Lots of hedges and tree canopies provide privacy and extra shading on hot days.

Doherty Sued State Farm Over Their Refusal to Pay After Woolsey Fire

Like many other celebrities, Shannen Doherty’s home was damaged in the 2018 Woolsey Fire. When State Farm refused to pay the $2.7 million she asked for, she sued. Then, a very public fight erupted between the actress and the insurance company.

Doherty had recently announced that her breast cancer had returned as Stage 4. State Farm alleged that she was using her diagnosis to gain sympathy. In the court documents (via Page Six), her lawyers had stated that she was “dying of stage 4 terminal cancer. Instead of living out her remaining years peacefully at her home, Ms. Doherty remains displaced and battling her insurance company.”

State Farm fired back, claiming the documents filed by Doherty and her lawyers revealed Doherty’s “plan at trial to garner sympathy by her contention that State Farm must rebuild her entire house because she has breast cancer and COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease).”

In the end, the jury sided with Doherty and awarded her $6.3 million.
