Chrissy Reflects on Her 100-Pound Weight Loss Journey

In a recent interview with Daily Mail, Metz revealed that she has hit the 100-pound milestone in her health journey â an achievement she credits to consistency, strength training & self-compassion.
âI have always enjoyed strength training. Iâve always enjoyed lifting weights â like, I donât want to run unless Iâm being chased,â she joked. âI want to age the best way that I can, and I want to be strong. And thatâs really the impetus behind any of it.â

Metz works closely with a personal trainer, sharing that she prefers motivation over intimidation. âWe have things in common where itâs not just like, âWhy are you doing this?â Like I donât want to be yelled at,â she said. âI want to be lovingly supported in whatever it is that Iâm doing.â
On Ozempic & Destigmatizing Weight Loss Choices
Metz also addressed the growing popularity of weight loss medications like Ozempic, emphasizing that every journey is personal. âIt is so personal and I think itâs important to destigmatize anything,â she told the Daily Mail. âBut I also think itâs peopleâs personal decision to decide what it is that they want to do for their body. I think ultimately, at the end of the day, we all just want to feel good and feel good about ourselves.â
Chrissy Metz Has Always Embraced Body Positivity

Metz has long been open about her relationship with her body. In a 2018 interview with Glamour, she recalled the moment she finally felt confident enough to wear a swimsuit in public. “I grew up wearing a T-shirt at the pool,” she said. âAs an adult, I was like, ‘Iâm gonna find a bathing suit I like and Iâm gonna wear it.ââ
That summer, while vacationing in Barbados, Metz proudly posted a photo of herself in a black Lane Bryant swimsuit. While some reactions were unexpectedly backhanded, she didnât let them dull her shine.
âThere were people like, ‘Oh my God, look at you! You know I could never do that,ââ she recalled. âItâs a backhanded compliment, but Iâm doing what I want to do.”
