Charlize Theron is making headlines for more than just her upcoming film. The Oscar-winning actress hit the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere of âThe Old Guard 2â on June 25, stepping out in a daring look that turned heads. Theron wore a black fishnet bodysuit from Givenchyâs fall 2025 ready-to-wear collection, layered over a black bra and high-waisted âHotPants.â She topped off the edgy ensemble with a structured black blazer, square-toe boots, and diamond Dior earrings.
The look, which reportedly debuted on the Paris Fashion Week runway, featured âGivenchy, Paris 1952â printed across the chest and showcased Sarah Burtonâs first collection as Givenchyâs new creative director.
Theronâs fearless fashion moment is part of a recent style streak while promoting the Netflix sequel. Earlier this month, she wore a similarly sheer ensemble for her appearance on âJimmy Kimmel Live!â With her 50th birthday approaching in August, the actress appears more confident than ever, embracing bold red carpet choices while celebrating her latest project.
Reuniting with co-stars and bringing the action in âThe Old Guard 2â
Theron reprises her role as Andy, a centuries-old warrior leading a team of immortals, in the highly anticipated sequel to 2020’s “The Old Guardâ. Sheâs joined by returning cast members KiKi Layne and Chiwetel Ejiofor, and new additions including Uma Thurman and Henry Golding. The film follows Andy and her team as they face a powerful new enemy while navigating personal challenges.
Speaking to Extra, Theron revealed she was so thrilled when Thurman joined the film that she âfell off her chair.â She shared that she had written Thurman a heartfelt email asking her to join the sequel, and was overjoyed when the Kill Bill star said yes.
âIt was everything that we hoped for,â Theron told People. âWeâre so grateful she said yes. I still pinch myself.â
âThe Old Guard 2â, premiering July 2 on Netflix, promises bigger stunts and higher stakes. Theron, who performs many of her own action scenes, spoke about hanging off a helicopter during one intense sequence, admitting she has a mild fear of heights that she had to work through on set.
Reflecting On Turning 50: âI have a better understanding of balanceâ
While the action-packed film keeps her schedule busy, Theron is also taking time to reflect on what turning 50 means to her. âI feel like time has actually really started to slow down the older I get,â she said in a recent interview. âIn my 20s, it was going so fast, and I was in such a rush, and now I feel like ⦠Iâm not.â
The actress, who is mom to daughters Jackson, 12, and August, 9, said that while sheâs still juggling the demands of motherhood and work, sheâs more at ease with herself.
âIâve just felt like I have a better understanding of balance,â she added. âI am still struggling with it, but I donât fight it as much anymore. I can enjoy life a little more.â
