âAnd Just Like Thatâ¦â is officially coming to a close. On Friday, Aug. 1, showrunner Michael Patrick King announced that the “Sex & the City” revival series will wrap after Season 3, closing out the reboot with a special two-part finale airing in August.
Following the announcement, Kristin Davis, who has played Charlotte York Goldenblatt since the original series debuted in 1998. On August 1st, Kristin shared a heartfelt message with fans.

Why Season 3 Became the Final Chapter
In a joint Instagram statement with HBO Max, King confirmed the decision to bring the series to an end. âAnd Just Like That⦠the ongoing storytelling of the Sex and the City universe is coming to an end,â he wrote.
âWhile I was writing the last episode of And Just Like That⦠season 3, it became clear to me that this might be a wonderful place to stop. Along with Sarah Jessica Parker, Casey Bloys and Sarah Aubrey, we decided to end the popular series this year with a two-part finale and extended the original series order from 10 episodes to 12.â
Why the Team Kept Quiet

The final two episodes of âAnd Just Like Thatâ¦â Season 3 will stream as a two-part finale beginning August 14 on Max.
