Alec Baldwin Pays Kind Tribute to Late ‘Pulp Fiction’ Actor

Alec Baldwin shared a kind social media post after “Pulp Fiction” actor Peter Greene passed away.

He took to Instagram on Saturday, Dec. 13, and shared one of the news articles that broke the sad news.

Baldwin shared a simple but powerful caption, “Great actor. Rest in peace.”

He passed away at the age of 60 on Friday, December 12.

Colleagues and fans alike have responded with tributes on social media, remembering Greene’s powerful presence on screen and the depth he brought to his characters.

His longtime friend and manager Gregg Edwards told the New York Post how much he will miss Greene.

“He was a terrific guy,” he told the outlet. “Truly one of the great actors of our generation. His heart was as big as there was. I’m going to miss him. He was a great friend.”

Others took to soical meida to express their sadness.

“He was a really nice guy. Definitely wild, but super nice. My friend owned the salon across the street from his apartment,” one user wrote.

Another added, “Unbelievably sad. He was a fixture in our minds if you grew up in the 90s…. Phenomenal actor. I always believed he was what his character was.”

Others expressed how they were longtime fans of Greene.

Greene Had an Impressive Career

Born Oct. 8, 1965, in Montclair, New Jersey, Greene’s career spanned more than three decades and included more than 90 acting credits.

Greene first earned widespread attention in the early 1990s with intense, memorable performances that left a lasting mark on audiences and filmmakers alike.

In Quentin Tarantino’s “Pulp Fiction” (1994), he portrayed Zed, a disturbing and chilling presence whose name became part of pop-culture lexicon.

That same year, he appeared as Dorian Tyrell — a menacing antagonist opposite Jim Carrey and Cameron Diaz — in the hit comedy-fantasy “The Mask,” showcasing his considerable range as a villain actor.

Edwards told NBC News how his late friend was a master at playing a villain.

“Nobody played a bad guy better than Peter,” Edwards said. “But he also had, you know, a gentle side that most people never saw, and a heart as big as gold.”

Beyond his most iconic roles, he also appeared in notable films such as “Clean, Shaven” (1993), “The Usual Suspects” (1995), “Blue Streak” (1999) and “Training Day” (2001), earning respect for his ability to inhabit complex, often morally ambiguous characters.

On television, his credits included appearances on shows like “The Black Donnellys” and “Chicago P.D.,” reflecting a prolific body of work that touched both big- and small-screen audiences.
