The world still hasn’t moved on from the bombshell Lily Allen dropped in the form of West End Girl – including David Harbour’s various exes and former co-stars.
The 14-song record, which had rave reviews, tells the semi-fictional story of the Smile hitmaker, 40, and 50-year-old Stranger Things star’s four-year marriage, and it’s explosive alright.
In songs including Madeline and Tennis, Lily accuses Harbour of cheating, gaslighting and lying in their relationship, which she made open so he could ‘discreetly’ sleep with ‘strangers’ for which there would ‘have to be payment’.
However, their ‘arrangement’ collapsed when Lily sang about discovering texts with Madeline – who is actually costume designer Natalie Tippet – a woman who was by no means a stranger to Harbour.
The Not Fair singer then detailed discovering Harbour’s ‘double life’ in his New York apartment – which she calls a ‘Pussy Palace’ – as she wonders aloud whether her husband is a ‘sex addict’.
She also sings in Pussy Palace that she ‘found a shoebox full of handwritten letters / From broken-hearted women wishing you could have been better’.
Lily also sings about finding a bag full of ’sex toys, butt plugs, and lube inside’.
With all of these wild allegations against Harbour – who has remained tight-lipped on the world-shaking album drop – some of his former co-stars and ex partners have reacted to the tell-all album.
Florence Pugh
Florence Pugh stars as David Harbour’s on-screen daughter Yelena in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, most recently in the 2025 film Thunderbolts.
While their promotional content has seemed warm, friendly and light-hearted, the actress has publicly supported West End Girl on social media by liking two of Lily’s posts relating to it.
Alison Sudol
Harbour’s ex-girlfriend Alison Sudol has shown her support for West End Girl by replying with seven flame emojis to Lily’s post promoting the record.
The 40-year-old actress, who played Queenie in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, dated Harbour for a year in 2018 before he was linked to Lily.
On Valentine’s Day in 2018, Alison shared how she was a ‘lucky woman’ to have Harbour in her life.
‘I’m sitting here and I’m thinking to myself, wow, this human being that I am on this crazy journey with is pretty unbelievable,’ she began.
‘What a generous, large-hearted, roaring wonder of a person I get to walk around and do stuff with. Like eat food and read books out loud and watch our dog sleep. And isn’t that great.
‘What an ignited soul, what a fire-spirit. What a brilliant artist. What a caring, deep, intuitive individual, who has changed my life completely and utterly. What a lucky woman I am.’
Then, after the split she shared: ‘It was the tail end of a relationship but I didn’t know it yet. I think I knew that something was wrong, suspected I wasn’t ok, but I was so confused, tangled up in a narrative that wasn’t mine but was so loud I couldn’t hear beyond it.
‘I couldn’t get my thoughts straight. It was abundantly clear I couldn’t change things, so I kept trying to change me.’
The actress added she has spent the last six years ‘rebuilding’ herself, with Lily commenting a heart emoji in support.
Julia Stiles
Julia Stiles, who dated Harbour for several years, has liked multiple posts of Lily’s about West End Girl.
The 10 Things I Hate About You star, 44, who follows Lily on social media and vice versa, was with the Stranger Things actor from 2011 to 2015.
Well, we think. The pair were so private that their exact dating and breakup timeline is a little foggy, although they are believed to have met on set of Between Us.
They reportedly lived together in New York during their romance, but they were pretty low-key other than some red carpet PDA, and the reason for their split is unknown.
Milla Jovovich
Milla Jovovich, who starred next to David Harbour in 2019 film Hellboy, has also liked a number of Lily’s posts promoting West End Girl.
At the time of the film, Milla appeared to be a fan of her co-star.
At Hellboy’s Canadian premiere, Milla said he is ‘such an intelligent person, such a fun human being’.
She continued: ‘He cares so deeply about everything he does. He has such a vision. I always say I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s a big time director in a few years.
‘Because somebody that’s so strong and smart, and has such a vision for things, he needs to make his own projects.’
Lily Rabe
Lily Rabe is another former Harbour co-star to like a number of Lily’s West End Girl posts on social media.
The 43-year-old American Horror Story actress starred as Portia alongside Harbour in The Merchant of Venice in 2010, as the pair played an on-stage romantic couple.
In 2023 Harbour joined Lily and her co-director Hamish Linklater on the red carpet at the Tribeca Film Festival for the premiere of their film Downtown Owl, where they looked friendly.
Archie Madekwe
Having starred in 2023 US sports drama Gran Turismo alongside David Harbour, Saltburn star Archie Madekwe appeared to show public support for Lily by attending her West End Girl Fall celebration in New York City, posing for a photo alongside the Smile hitmaker.
Lily posted a snap of the pair sitting together on social media, saying: ‘Where better to kick off West End Girl Fall ? it’s NY or Nowhere.’
This is despite Harbour previously talking warmly of his chemistry with Madekwe.
Harbour told Screen Rant of creating a good mentor-mentee dynamic for the cameras: ‘It was pretty easy and it was pretty natural, and that’s rare. A lot of times you got to do a lot of work to create chemistry, and this didn’t have to be that way. I think that’s a testament to Archie.’
