These are the top Amazon Prime as rated by Rotten Tomatoes (Picture: Amazon Prime/ Shutterstock)
With countless TV shows available at the click of a button, viewers have never had more choice of what to tune into.
The BBC, ITV and Channel 4 dominate the free-to-air offerings, but streaming services like Amazon Prime, Netflix, Disney, and Apple TV Plus can also keep people entertained at all hours.
However, when it comes to standing out from the crowd, only a few shows rise to the top, while it can be even more rare for some to be lauded by critics and audiences alike.
Since launching in the UK in 2014, Amazon Prime has presented its subscribers with stand-out shows including The Boys, Reacher and The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, however none of these have achieved the feat of receiving a 100% Rotten Tomatoes rating.
Instead, it’s three other shows that can be named the top-rated Amazon Prime shows.
From a documentary series following a TV presenter’s efforts to run a farm, an Australian black comedy and a reality series starring one of the world’s biggest pop stars, here are the series that have captured people’s attention.
Clarkson’s Farm

In 2021 a reality series following former Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson’s attempts to get dirty and learn what it was like to run a farm hit screens.
The now 64-year-old purchased about 1000 acres in Oxfordshire in 2008, with the land farmed on a contract basis by local villager until his retirement in 2019.
Soon after Jeremy decided he would have a go at taking over the top job and was followed by cameras in the process – with the show Clarkson’s Farm coming soon after.
Although he first named his farm Diddly Squat to indicate its lack of productivity, with the assistance of land agent Charlie Ireland, his partner Lisa Hogan and recently minted farm manager Kaleb Cooper, they’ve managed to turn the fortunes of the farm (slightly) around.
Despite Jeremy facing a string of challenges (like council red tape, the death of animals and less than ideal weather conditions) he’s powered through, with viewers flocking to the past three seasons.

The most recent, released earlier this year, was a huge hit and became the second most-watched show of 2024 on all major streaming services in the UK at the time, being streamed by 5.1 million people.
On Rotten Tomatoes, one viewer said it was ‘the best show on TV/ streaming’ while another said it was ‘endlessly watchable and entertaining’.
‘I absolutely love Clarkson’s Farm. It shows the plight of most hard-working farmers and the constant battle to make a living,’ another added.
A few weeks ago it was also announced Clarkson’s Farm had also been renewed for a fifth season.
Deadloch
The Australian comedy series Deadloch was released last year (Picture: Prime Video)
This laugh-out-loud comedy series released last year had no shortage of nudity, naughty language and absolute nutters.
Created by Kate McCartney and Kate McLennan, Deadloch was set in a fictional town in Tasmania (that island off the coast of mainland Australia) and starred Kate Box as Dulcie Collins, a police officer who is less than impressed when she is forced to work with Eddie Redcliffe, a detective from Darwin who turns up in the small town after the body of a local man washes up on a beach.
Even worse (in the locals’ eyes) is the fact that this apparent murder coincides with the ‘Winter Feastival’ – a celebration of local arts, cuisine and culture, which many are not willing to consider cancelling, even as others start turning up dead.
At the same time, they even have to fend off a menacing seal called Kevin who many suspected was eating tongues after stumbling across the bodies.
Viewers praised the series, which they said had them ‘sitting on the edge of my seat’ while also leaving them in fits of laughter.

‘TRULY best new show I’ve seen in many years. I was literally laughing out loud the whole time! Obsessed’ one person posted on Rotten Tomatoes.
‘Amazing new take on the buddy detective dynamic. Like True Detective if it had more humour and more female leads,’ someone else shared.
Others said it was ‘the best TV show I’ve ever watched’.
While many of them are far too naughty to repeat here, expect some brilliant one liners too, including: ‘This theory has more holes than a swingers party.’
The series was renewed for a second season a few months ago.
Lizzo’s Watch Out for the Big Grrrls

The most surprising Amazon Prime show to have a perfect score has to be Lizzo’s Watch Out for the Big Grrrls.
The reality series aired in 2022 and followed 13 women competing to be dancers for singer Lizzo, who also hosted the show.
It came about after Lizzo said agencies were unable to find her anyone other than size-zero dancer models and she wanted to promote body diversity in her line-up.
The competitors were aged between their mid-20s to mid-30s, with some being trained dancers while others were self-taught.
In the group were also women who had faced poverty and homelessness in their past.
Despite being a niche kind of show, those who watched it had nothing but praise for the competition series (which went on to be nominated for six Emmys at the 2022 awards).

‘So incredibly inspiring. Representation matters! This should be how people use their fame – to uplift other talented people who would never otherwise get a shot because of their race, size, gender identity, or whatever. I love Lizzo even more than I did before I watched this awesome series,’ one fan shared on Rotten Tomatoes.
‘You do not have to be a Lizzo fan or a dance fan to enjoy this show. It covered difficult lessons we deal with beautifully. I became invested in all the dancer’s journeys and Lizzo was the perfect cheerleader. This show was fantastic,’ another posted.
Meanwhile one other viewer admitted while they ‘generally don’t like reality shows’ they loved this.
‘It’s a celebration of beauty that we don’t see represented often enough,’ they added.
