American Pie Reunion Details Revealed

Mena Suvari & Jason Biggs American Pie reunion

When “American Pie” debuted more than 25 years ago, no one could have predicted how much it would shape pop culture, or the lives of its stars, Mena Suvari and Jason Biggs. Decades later, fans are still chasing that first laugh, with Suvari revealing she’s constantly bombarded with one question: Will the gang ever come back for more?

Mena Suvari Says Fans Keep Asking About Another “American Pie”

“I’ve seen videos on YouTube that are trailers for this new movie that doesn’t exist,” Suvari told Parade ahead of the film being featured on TBS’ “Dinner & A Movie” on August 23. “Ones that have been made by fans. I believe there’s a script out there written by a fan.”

Suvari added, “Yeah, it’s awesome. I think everybody is definitely hoping for it. I do a lot of different conventions where I see some of the cast at times, and people are always asking. Always asking. Like, ‘Is there going to be another one?’ And I feel like I’m just letting them down because I have no information at all. But, it feels like people really would love that next chapter.”

Suvari played Heather, the sweet choir member, while Biggs starred as Jim Levenstein, the awkward high schooler desperate to lose his virginity.

“Nostalgia is so big right now,” Biggs explained. “And you know, whether or not that means that there’s another ‘American Pie,’ something in our future? I have no idea, but it’d be cool. I’d certainly be down for it. I know Mena would, too. I think a lot of people would.”

In an interview with People magazine, Biggs shared that he and his wife started discussing the idea of an “American Pie” reunion as soon as they “first signed on” to host “Dinner and a Movie”.

“We knew it would be important to get some of my friends from the movie to come back on, if we could, and Mena stepped right up, which I love,” Biggs explained. “You know, Mena and I have worked together on other things, and she knows my wife as well a little bit, and so it was really great when she said yes. I was so, so happy. And Alyson came on with her as well, and then we had Shannon Elizabeth and Chris Klein.”
