America’s Got Talent judge Howie Mandel has revealed the shocking moment he ‘saw his wife’s skull’ after she suffered a drunken fall.
The comedian, actor and TV personality, 68, has been married to wife Terry Soil since 1980, with the couple sharing three children.
However, during a recent TV appearance, Howie shared a terrifying story about how he recently discovered his wife lying in a pool of her own blood.
After a night spent partying in Las Vegas, Howie said he was woken in the middle of the night by a loud noise, only to find Terry on the floor.
‘I heard “bang” and “ahh” and I woke up and I went, “Where are you?”,’ he said during an appearance on Live With Kelly And Mark.
‘And she went, “I don’t know”.’

Howie went on to explain how he had Terry had ‘partied’, but that he he hadn’t realised his wife of 40 years had had ‘too much’.
‘In the middle of the night she got up and – I don’t know where she was headed – but she headed into the wall,’ he explained.
‘And she fell and hit the wainscoting. She hit that as she went down.

‘She slipped, went down, hit that on her eye, then fell on the floor and broke her cheek.’
The audience then got a look at the extent of Terry’s injuries from a closeup photo of the top half of her face, with a cut across her forehead and her left eye covered with a massive bruise.
He then went on to describe the terrifying scene that greeted him when he switched on the light.
‘I turn on the light, I look, I look around the bed. She’s in the corner, face down, and I didn’t know she’d cut her head. But blood is pooling,’ he recalled.
‘I saw her head, and you could actually see her skull. It opened up.’

However, he did reveal that his wife had since made a full recovery and didn’t even have a single scar.
‘She is absolutely perfect. There is not a scar. She is beautiful,’ he said.
Aside from his role on America’s Got Talent, the Canadian star is also known for voicing Gizmo in the 1984 film Gremlins and its 1990 sequel Gremlins 2: The New Batch, playing Dr Wayne Fiscus on the medical drama St. Elsewhere and creating and starring in the children’s cartoon Bobby’s World.
He has also been a judge on Canada’s Got Talent since 2022 and has hosted Deal or No Deal.
